CHRISTOPHER, ERNEST  Age 72 years of Uniontown, died Sunday, June 29 1980 in the Uniontown Hospital He was born October 24, 1907, in German Twp., the son of the late, Dennis R. and Elsie Staley Christopher. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Goldie G. Moody Christopher; a son, Charles and two brothers, Lewis C. and Elliott G. He was a member of Central Christian Church of Uniontown, the Brownsville Lodge No. 6, F&AM, the UMWA, Local 6548 and was a retired machinist with U.S. Steel Corp., Filbert Shop. Surviving are his wife Anna King Gadd Christopher; the following children, Dennis R. of Preston, Iowa, Lewis M. of Stoney Point, R.D. 3 Uniontown, Mrs. Lawrence (Susanna) King of Smock; step daughter, Mrs. Dale (Lynda) Jones Of Brownsville; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren ; a brother, Ralph of New Salem and three sisters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Langley of Hibbs Nellie Christopher of Uniontown and Mrs. Elsie Crago of Ralph. Friends will be received in the Dearth Funeral Home New Salem today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday until 2 p.m. the hour of service Rev. Darwin W. Collins, his pastor and Rev. James L. Browne will officiate. Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa. Masonic services will be held this evening at 7:30.
