CLARK LEWIS GADD Clark Lewis Gadd, aged 69 years, died at the St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh Monday morning, September 17, 1928, at 2 o'clock, after a second operation, which was performed on Friday morning. Mr. Gadd entered the hospital six weeks ago for observation and a week later was operated upon. He spent two weeks at his Iron Bridge home, convalescing, and returned a week ago yesterday to the hospital for the second operation. He was born near McCellandtown, Fayette county and was a son of the late Aaron and Mariah Gadd. He was an employee of the H. C. Frick Coke Company for 40 years as a timer and was a pensioner. He had served as road supervisor of East Huntingdon township for eight years, working on the road the day before entering the hospital. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Mount Pleasant and the Elks Lodge of Scottdale. He was also a member of the United Brethren church in Mount Pleasant. His wife and daughter were at his bedside when he died. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Iva Irene Gadd, and the following children: Mrs. George Crosby, Morgantown, W. Va.; Aaron Gadd of Uniontown and Edward Gadd of Indiana, Pa.; Kenneth, Earle and Clark, Jr., Stella Mae, Mildred, and Dorothy all at home; three sisters, Mrs. William Queer, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Isaac Hughes, Uniontown, and Mrs. Charles Clark of Oliver Furnace; also one brother, C. C. Gadd of Siouxville, Pa. Mr. Gadd had been a resident of Iron Bridge for 40 years and was widely known. Funeral services will be held at the Iron Bridge home this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. J. L. Updegraff will have charge of the service. Burial will be in Scottdale cemetery.
