Connellsville Courier Wednesday June 11, 1947 CURTIS B. DEWITT OBIT Curtis Bliss DeWitt, 43, of Connellsville, R.D.2, died at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home after a five-year illness of a heart condition. He was born October 15, 1903, near Friendsville, MD., a son of Dephia and Ina McCroby DeWitt, and had resided at the present address about two years. He was a member of the Poplar Grove Church of Christ. Prior to his last illness he was a timberman. Besides his parents, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ethel DeWitt, five brothers, Clyde of Buchanan, Oar of Waynesburg, Milton and Larnce of Bitner and Thomas of Indian Head; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Lytle of Lake Lynn, WV, Mrs. Mageline Morris of North Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Martha Pritts of Broad Ford, Mrs. Margaret Miller and Mrs. Effie Fine of Connellsville, R.D.1. The funeral service will beheld Friday afternoon with a prayer at the home at 2' o'clock. Additional rites will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock in the Mount Nebo Church of God with Rev. C.E. Davis of Star Junction officiating. Burial will be made in Mount Nebo Cemetery under direction of Clyde B. Brooks of Indian Head.
