WILLIAM FERRIS, FORMER SLAVE DIES William Ferris, colored, 85 years old, died Thursday morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. Belle Worthington at Dunbar. He was the last colored man residing about Dunbar who had been a slave in his younger days. He was a slave for 31 years. Funeral services will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. M. F. Simms of Connellsville officiating.
