It was cut out and put into a photo album by its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page. FRANKS, CLINTON (JACK)  Age 76 years of R.D. 1, Smithfield, Pa., died suddenly Saturday, August 21. 1976 at 12:30 p.m. in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born January 13, 1900 at Continental 3, a son of the late Andrew J. and Mary E. Coffman Franks. Surviving are his wife, Nellie Goodwin Franks: two sons, James C. Franks of Smithfield R.D., Pa., and Charles J. Franks of Hurt, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Smith of Smithfield, Pa., Mrs. Clyde (Mildred) David of Uniontown, Pa. R.D. and Mrs. Ann Dillow of Philadelphia, Pa.; a brother, Weldon Franks of Uniontown, Pa. R.D. He was a member of the Smithfield United Methodist Church and the Mens Bible Class. He was a member and treasurer of York Run Grange No. 1699 for several years. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Nellie in 1911. The family will receive friends in the John F. Brownfield Funeral Home, Smithfield today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday until 2 p.m. the hour of service with Rev. Richard Downing officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa. York Run Grange No. 1699 will conduct ritualistic services this evening at 8 p.m.
