It was cut out and put into a photo album by its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. FRANKS, ELMER  age 69 years died in the Uniontown hospital, Wednesday morning, February 19, 1947 at 2:30 o'clock. He was a resident of Union town R. D. No. 3, BalsingerHigh House Road. He Is survived by his wife, Mar garet Rhodes Franks and the follow ing children, E. J. of Fairchance; Clark of Detroit; Kenneth of Continental; Mrs. Dorothy Woods of Puritan; Mrs. Nellie Myers, John Edward, Robert, Twilla Jean and Louis all at home; also surviving are 9 grandchildren and one brother, Jack Franks of Leckrone; and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Martin of Un iontown and Mrs. Jennie Ross of Un iontown. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends will be received In the home of his son, E. J. Franks, 9 Morgantown St., Fairchance, after 6 o'clock this evening where brief services will be held Saturday, February 22, at 2 p. m. and followed by ad ditional rites in the Pleasant View Presbyterian church with Rev. David Hunter officiating. Interment in the church cemetery under the direction of C. B. Dearth Sons, New Salem.
