It was cut out and put into a photo album by its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. JOHN A. FRANKS John A. Franks, 44, died at 4:30 o'clock Thursday morning in his home in German township, near High House. He was born, September 21, 1891, the son of the late E. J. and Sarah Jane Franks and had been a life long resident of that district. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: A. J. Franks, High House; W. J. Franks, J. W. Franks and E. E. Franks, McClellandtown; Mrs. Anna Martin and Mrs. Jane Ross, Uniontown. Friends may view the body until Saturday afternoon in the Dearth Funeral Home, New Salem. It will then be removed to the home where short funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock follow ed by additional services in Jacob's Lutheran church, German township, in charge of Rev. David Hunter. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.
