I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page. FRANKS, NELLIE(GOODWIN) Age 82 years, of Smithfield R.D. 1, Pa., died Saturday, July 22, 1978, at the Miller Convalescent Care Center in Uniontown. She was born July 7, 1896, in Georges Twp., Pa., a daughter of the late Charles R. and Harriet E. Bowers Goodwin. She was a member of the Smithfield United Methodist Church the York Run Grange No. 1699, and the Pomona Grange. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton (Jackie) Franks, in 1976; a sister, Happy Rugh; five brothers, Charles R., Grover, John, Ben and Coleman. Surviving are two sons: Charles J. Franks of Gretna, Va. and James C. Franks of Smithfield R.D.; seven grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Katie Mallory of Lake Lynn, Pa. and Miss Emily Goodwin of Smithfield R.D. The family will receive friends in the John F. Brownfield Funeral Home, Smithfield, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, July 25 until 1:30 p.m. when funeral services will be conducted with Rev. Nelson Krute of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and Rev. Floyd Kelly of the Smithfield United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield. York Run Grange No. 1699 will conduct ritualistic services this evening at 8.
