The deceased had been in poor health for the past six months and seemed no worse than usual until he contracted a heavy cold several days ago, which soon developed into pneumonia. Mr. Gouker was in his 79th year. He was a life-long Democrat. Beside his wife, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. William Bell and James, George and Charles of Dunbar; Mrs. Agnes Miller, Continental No. 1; Mrs. Mary Saylor, Smithfield; and John of Pittsburg. The funeral was held this morning at 9 o’clock from Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, Rev. Edward D. Murphy officiating. Interment in Saint Aloysius Cemetery.
