Emily Goodwin Emily Goodwin, 96, a guest of South Fayette Convalescent Home, Markleysburg, and formerly of Smithfield R.D.1, passed away Monday, April 3, 1995, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1898, in Georges Township, Pa., daughter of the late Charles R. and Harriet Bowers Goodwin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by five brothers, Grover C., Coleman, John B., Bennie, and Charles R. "Bootz" Goodwin, and three sisters, Katie Mallory, Nellie Franks, and Happy Rugh. She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Smithfield. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME, Smithfield, today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 5, until 11 a.m. when services will be conducted with Rev. Donald Walls officiating, Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield.
