It was cut out and put into a photo album by its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page. GOODWIN, RAY???? SR.,age 59, died suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 10, 1946, at 7:45 p.m. at his home, Route 119. Smithfield R. D. 3, Pa. He was a son of the late Walter and Emma Whoolsey Goodwin. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Brownfield Goodwin, and the following children; Ray. Jr. and Wilbur, at home, Mrs. Alcesta Wade of Smithfield R. D. 3. and Betty and Hazel, at home, three brothers, Harry of Hanover, Ohio, Earl of Missouri and Wilbur of Smithfield R. D. 3. one sister, Mrs. Merchant (Emily) Brownfield of Fairchance and two grandchildren. He was a member of the Smithfield Presbyterian Church and was a prominent farmer of Georges Township. Friends are being received in the family residence until today, Oct. 13, at 12:00 noon and in the Smithfield Presbyterian Church from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., the hour of services, with Rev. C. L. Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove cemetery under the direction of the Wagner Cooley Funeral Home, Fairchance.
