He was the son of the late Chauncey and Mary Ann Fisher Hughes. He is survived by the following brothers: Charles and Irvin Hughes of Dilliner; Joseph and Ralph Hughes of Fairchance; Woodrow of Point Marion. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA 6325 [?] and was a social member of the VFW 7219, Fairchance and the sons of Italy, Fairchance. Friends will be received in the Wagner-Cooley Funeral Home, Fairchance today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday until 1 p.m. the hour of service with Dr. Earl P. Conler [?] officiating.
