Samuel K Hutchinson was born in North Union township on land now owned by Col. Evans in the year 1815 and was one of a family of 10 children . He built and operated for many years what is now known as the old Hutchinson mill situated on the head waters of Redstone creek , three miles south of Uniontown His wife Rosanna was the daughter of the late John Hagan of South Union Township. It is safe to say that Mr Hutchinson was one of the best citizens in this county. He had accumulated a considerable fortune and passed away with the respect of all who had ever known him.
