It was later photocopied and given to me in 2002. It is a transcription of this photocopied original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. JOHN C. MOORE John C. Moore, aged 83 years, a lifelong resident of German township, died at his home near New Salem, Thursday afternoon, May 3, following a short illness. Mr. Moore is survived by one sister, Mrs. H. D. Core, of South Mt. Vernon avenue, a niece, Mrs. George Porter, Jr., and two nephews, Charles Moore, of New Salem, and Harry G. Moore, of Uniontown. Mr. Moore was the son of Abraham and Adeline McClain Moore, both deceased. He was one of the best known and widely respected residents of the township. In politics Mr. Moore was a Republican. Funeral services will be held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock followed by burial in the Moore cemetery.
