LILY MEANS. Mrs. Lily Miner Means, 74 died at her home at 1:10 o’clock this morning at Connellsville, R.D.3 near Murphy’s Siding, after a lingering illness. She was born in Bullskin township July (looks like 24) 1877, a daughter of the late Amzi and Rebecca Green Miner. She was a member of the Mount Olive E.U.B. Church. Surviving are six sons, John R. of Connellsville, R.D.3, Harry W. and James D. of Connellsville, R.D.2 and Wade W. Robert D and Chester G. at home; two daughters, Mrs. Grace K. Buttermore of Connellsville, R.D.3 and Mrs. Maude G. Beal of Wooddale; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five brothers, George of Little Summit, Harry E. of Connellsville, Roy of Kingview and John and Warren of Connellsville, R.D.2 and 1 sister, Mrs. Mary Wilson of Connellsville R.D.2. er husband James N. Means, preceded her death, June 6, 1950. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Denver W. and Warden G. The body was taken to the house of her son, John R. Means at Murphy’s Siding. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon with a prayer at the home of the son at 2 o’clock followed by additional rites at the Mount Olive U.B. Church with Rev. Lester Schmittle, her pastor, officiating, will be in the church cemetery in charge of the Ingram funeral service. (note in ink, Died Nov 10, 1951.)
