The Independent Observer Scottdale PA 7 Jan 1930 MARGERY HARPER LYNN OBIT Margery Harper Lynn, aged 78 years, wife of C.S. Lynn of Ruffsdale, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman C. Hepler, corner Spring street and Edwin avenue, this place, late last evening, after an illness of three weeks, while visiting with her daughter. She was a faithful member of the Christ Reformed church of Ruffsdale of which church she had been a member for nearly 50 years. Mrs. Lynn was well known, being one of the oldest residents of the community, and highly respected by all who knew here. She is survived by her husband, C.S. Lynn, and seven sons and daughters; Swain Lynn, Wellsville, Ohio; Mrs. Sadie Latta, Irwin; Mrs. Ethel Carvey, Donora; Mrs. Allie Porter and Mrs. Grace Hepler, both of Scotttdale; Samuel H. Lynn, Ruffsdale, and William E. Lynn, Wilkinsburg. Mrs. Lynn was the eldest child of the late Samuel and Sarah Harper of Flatwoods, in which family there were nine children. Two brothers survive, Hilliam H. Harper, Dickerson Run; and Spraks Harper, Orville, Ohio. One brother, Swain Harper, died in Connellsville just one week ago. Funeral arrangements will be announced later, pending the arrival of the family.
