It was later photocopied and given to me in 2002. It is a transcription of this photocopied original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. JENNIE W. MARTIN Mrs. Jennie W. Martin, aged 88 years, died at her home in San Gabriel, Cal., on October 26, 1928, after an attack of acute indigestion. Mrs. Martin had lived in the California city for the last five years. For 50 years she was a resident of Kansas City, Kan. She was the widow of Dr. J. C. Martin, who died in 1896. Mrs. Martin, nee Jennie W. Gadd, was born in Fayette county on February 18, 1840. With her family she moved to Illinois when a young woman where she met and became the wife of Dr. Martin. A son died in 1890. Before leaving Kansas City, Mrs. Martin was active in church and club work. She is survived by three nephews and eight nieces. The body was taken to Kansas City for burial.
