I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page. A former resident of McClellandtown died yesterday in McKeesport Hospital. Emily Christopher Meredith, 56, of Poinsettia Dr., passed away in the hospital at 10:20 a.m. Mrs. Meredith was born in McClellandtown in 1912, the daughter of Thomas and Alberta Emery Christopher. Surviving are her husband, H. B. Meredith; two sons, Robert, Laughlintown; Richard, Evans City; a daughter, Sally, at home; and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. J. E. (Ploy) Jackman, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. M. H. (Leona) Green, Reading, Charles Christopher, Gary, Ind.; Frank Christopeher, Tempe, Ariz.; J. B. and Theodore Christopher, McClellandtown. Mrs. Meredith was a teacher at Locust Grove, West Mifflin Twp., and a former teacher in German Twp. A member of Wesley United Methodist Church, McKeesport, she was also a member of Old Glory No. 270 Chapter Eastern Star, Ephesus Shrine No. 26, White Shrine of Jerusalem. Funeral services will be held in Craig Memorial House, McKeesport, at 1 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
