Mr Miller had been operator of the general store at Wooddalw since 1919. He served in the Spanish War with Company E, 10th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, from April 27, 1898 to December 22 1899. Twice married he leaves two sons and five daughters; Mrs Priscilla Holeman of Pittsburgh, Mrs Lulu Miltz of Iron Bridge, Mrs Carrie Miller of Vanderbilt, Henry Miller and Mrs Grace Mardis of Wooddale and Ray and Catherine Miller at home. There is one stepson, William Spaugy of Rowes Run, also a sister Mrs Martha Freed of Scottdale. There are 12 grandchildren. Mr Miller was a member of the Order of Independent Americans.
