MURPHY, FRANK Age 79 years, of McClellandtown, died in the West Virginia University Medical Center, Sunday, March 9, 1969 at 8 p.m. He was born in West Overton, Pa. October 5, 1889, the son of the late Jacob R. and Malinda Grimm Murphy. He is survived by one son, Frank Murphy Jr. of Cheswick, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Carolyn) Messenger of West Granby, Conn.; Mrs. Kenneth (Marie) Halberstadt of Rockford, Ill.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Murphy of McClellandtown with whom he made his home. He was predeceased by four brothers, Jacob. Daniel, Elmer and George Murphy; also by two sisters, Mrs. William (Lavina) Richter, and Mrs. William (Harriet) Walsh Soles. He was a member of the UMWA, District 4, Local 6326. Friends will be received in the T. Leonard Sangston Funeral Home, McClellandtown after 7:30 today, where services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Howard Brown officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Glades Cemetery near Carmichaels.
