At his death, the deceased was an honored member of Capt. Gilmore’s Volunteer Cavalry Company, Gen. Rosencrans’ Division; also a member of the Presbyterian church of George’s Creek. He was a true friend, an exemplary Christian, a patriotic citizen and a brave soldier.
