This obituary come from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a photo album by
its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no
corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page.

NEWCOMER, MRS. B. S. RUTH (GIVEN) Age 71 years, of McClellandtown, Pa., died
Saturday, February 18, 1967, at 7:45 PM, in the Palms of Pasadena Hospital, St.
Petersburg, Fla. She is survived by her husband, B. S. Newcomer, McClellandtown, one
son, J. K. Newcomer, McClellandtown and one granddaughter, Mrs. Priscilla Newcomer
Howard, Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Sarah McWilliams Wade, Mt. Hope, W. Va.
She was a member of the McClellandtown Presbyterian Church, a Past Matron of the
Ideal Chapter, No. 213, Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Col. Lynn Chapter
D.A.R., the Rho Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society. the German Grange, and
was a former State Juvenile Superintendent of the Pennsylvania State Grange. She was a
very active educator, having taught school for thirty five years at the German Twp. and
Georges Twp. School Districts. Friends Will be received after 7:30 this evening in the
T. Leonard Sangston Funeral Home. McClellandtown and where services will be
conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. Rev. James R. Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow in
the Church Hill cemetery. The Order of Eastern Star will conduct Ritualistic Services in
the funeral home Wednesday evening at 8.
