It is a transcription of this photocopied original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. MRS. REBECCA NEWCOMER Mrs. Rebecca Jefferis Newcomer, aged 89 years, 11 months and 10 days, widow of the late Samuel A. Newcomer, died at the home of her son John W. Newcomer, of the McClellandtown road, Tuesday afternoon, December 19, 1922, at 2 o'clock from infirmities of age. The deceased was one of a family of 17 children and is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John Jeffries, of Great Ridge, Ill.; Milton and Newton Jeffris, both of New Salem; George Jefferis, of this city; Sarah Jefferis, of New Salem, and Mrs. Ellen Moser, of Alban, Tenn. She is also survived by the following children, John W. Newcomer and Mrs. Miller Alton, of Pittsburgh. Another son, Lebbens, died some time ago. Eleven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren also survive. The deceased was a member of the Third Presbyterian church. Funeral services will be held from the John W. Newcomer home Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. E. A. Hodil officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
