This obituary come from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a photo album by
its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no
corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page.

POUNDSTONE, KATE SALINA  Age 89 of  Uniontown R. D. 3, passed away at her
residence, Dec. 18, 1980. She was born in Menallen Twp, Aug. 12, 1891, the daughter of
the late Andrew Jackson and Sara Ellen Keener Poundstone. She was a member of the
Third Presbyterian Church of Uniontown, Menallen Grange 1091 and was a retired
schoolteacher in the German Twp. School District. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by a sister, Nellie Bly Poundstone. Friends will be received in the Dearth
Funeral Home, New Salem, today after 7 p.m., Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and
until 3 p.m. Sunday, the hour of service with her pastor, Rev. Karl W. Bowman,
officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Hill Cemetery in McClellandtown.
Menallen Grange will hold ritualistic services at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Contributions may
be made to the Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown.
