We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ________________________________________ SILAS PRINKEY Connellsville, PA Courier May 31, 1916 Silas Prinkey, 76 years old, died at his home in Mill Run at 6:30 o'clock this morning, following a short illness. Deceased who was one of the best known man in the Indian Creek Valley was a farmer all his life. He came of a family noted for it's longevity, two of his brothers having passed the three score and ten mark long ago. John Prinkey of Indian Head is 79, and Jacob of Bruceton, W. VA,. is 87. Deceased is survived by his wife and the following children; Mrs. John F. Kooser, New Castle; J.K. and O.H. Prinkey, of Youngwood; Mrs. George Hetzel, Youngwood; Mrs. C.D. Moore, Leisenring; Mrs. George Lathue, Brownsville; Miller Prinkey,of Indian Head, and James C. Prinkey, Mill Run. There are also 32 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. E.R Kooser, assistant superintendent of transportation of the West Penn, is one of his grandchildren. No arrangements have as yet been made for the funeral.
