This obituary come from an unknown paper. It was cut out and 
put into a photo album by
its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. 
It is a copy of the original with no
corrections to its spelling or punctuation.

REED, BESSIE SMITH  Age 79, of 
Charleroi R. D. 2, died Thursday,
March 23, 1972, in the Charleroi
Monessen Hospital. She was born
May 23, 1892, in High House. Pa., a
daughter of Isaac Seymour and
Mattie Lied Smith. Her husband,
Ora Reed, died in 1960; one sister,
Alverta Chalfant and one brother,
Bryan H. Smith. She was a member 
of the First Christian Church of
Charleroi. Surviving are three sisters, 
Olie Butler of Murraysville;
Mary Jane Kindler of Irwin: Nan
Peach of Miami, Fla. Friends are
being received today from 2 to 5
and 7 to 10 p.m. in the Greenlee
Funeral Home, 619 Main St., Bentleyville, 
where services will be
held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev.
W. S . Vanarsdale officiating. Burial 
in Maple Creek Cemetery.
