It was cut out and put into a photo album by its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. ROCKWELL, JOHN R. Age 53 years of R.D.1, Pt. Marion was dead on arrival at Veteran's Hospital, Pittsburgh Saturday, November 27, 1971. He was born April 28, 1918 in Nicholson Township the son of the late William and Jane Williams Rockwell. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife Loretta Davis Rockwell; one daughter, Marsha Lynn, at home; four brothers, Brown and Glenn, both of Masontown, Lloyd of Fairchance and Wendell of Uniontown, R.D.; one sister, Mrs. Harry (Martha) Gray, Nemacolin. Preceding him in death was one sister Elizabeth and one brother Elmer. Friends are being received in the Grant R. Townsend Funeral Home, Masontown this evening from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., the hour of service, with Rev. Ronald Glassman and Rev. Carl Opel officiating. Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
