SEKERES, WORLD WAR II VET William J. Sekeres, 78, of 2210 Ridge Blvd., Connellsville, died Sunday, Dec. 5. 1993, at his home. He was born Sept. 29, 1915, in Whitsett, a son of the late George and Terezia Lucsko Sekeres. A member of the Dunbar Baptist Church, he retired from Republic Steel in Waren, Ohio. We was a World War II United States Army veteran, having received the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze stars and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a life member of the Yough Fisherman's Association of Connellsville. Surviving are three sons, Charles "Skip" Sekeres and Lloyd Sekeres, both of Connellsville, and Ralph Sekeres of West Newton; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl Laverne Means Sekeres in 1987; and a brother. George Sekeres.
