I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page. SHEETZ, J.B. (JACOB BURKHOLDER) Age 85 years, of 34 Union St., died in the Uniontown Hospital Saturday, April 12, 1969 at 6:30 p.m. Surviving are a son, Col. Lawrence C. Sheetz of Arlington, Va.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Effie Mae Sheetz of Lancaster, Pa. He was, predeceased by his wife, Iowa Cutright Sheetz on March 12, 1967 and a sister, Mrs. Mary Meckins. A member and elder of the Third Presbyterian Church of Uniontown, he was a member of the John Knox Mens Bible Class and formerly taught the Ladies Dorcas Class for forty five years. A graduate of Lancaster High School and a 1909 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, he taught in various Fayette County Schools. Formerly he was principal of German Twp. High School for eighteen years, principal of Georges Twp. High School and assistant superintendent of Fayette County Schools. The family will receive friends in the Robert S. Oats Funeral Home, 71 Pennsylvania Ave. after 7 p.m. today, Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be additional viewing in the Third Presbyterian Church Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service with Rev. Karl W. Bowman, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown. John Knox Mens Bible Class will conduct ritualistic services Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
