It was cut out and put into a photo album by its original owner, who gave them to me in 1997. It is a copy of the original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page. SHUSS, SAMUEL W. Age 85 years, of R.D. 1, Breezewood, Pa. died July 28, 1974 in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born November 12, 1888 in Bedford County, son of the late Daniel H. Shuss and Maria Smively Shuss. He was married to Zola Felton on August 27, 1924. She survives along with these children: Mrs. Bernice S. Peterson, Sr. of Dickenson, Texas; John R. Shuss of Bethesda, Md.; Mrs. Alice S. Malone of Springfield, Va.; also surviving are five grandchildren. Mr. Shuss was a school teacher and prior to his retirement in 1952 he had taught 30 years at German Twp. High School in McClellandtown. He was a veteran of World War I, and was a past master of F & AM of Masontown. While living in McClellandtown, he was on the Board of Elders of the Church Hill Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, near Breezewood, with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Conner Funeral Home in Everett today from 4 to 9 p.m. and at the Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. till time of service.
