This obituary came from an unknown paper. It was cut out and put into a
scrapbook by its original owner.  It was later photocopied and given to me in 2002.
It is a transcription of this photocopied original with no corrections to its spelling
or punctuation.

GADD, SARAH MATILDA, aged 83 years, 8 months, 20 days, died in the Brownsville
General hospital, Friday morning December 24, 1943 at 7:30 o'clock.  She died
of complications, after a fall resulting in a broken hip.  She had lived practically
all her life in Fayette county and was the last of the family of Stephen and Lydis
Moore Gadd.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services
were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the C. B. Dearth Sons
Funeral Home, New Salem, with Rev. R. C. VanEmman officiating.  Burial
followed in Acklin Cemetery.
