PFC ELMER E. SMITH -Pfc Elmer E. Smith, 23, of Prittstown,R.D.2, Mt. Pleasant, was killed in the Sadinak area in North Korea on Aug 22 while serving with the King Company, 38th Infantry. He was inducted into the Army in August 1951. He was born in the Wooddale area and leaves his mother, Mrs. Leah Edith Smith, of Prittstown, one brother, Donald of Prittstown, his grandparents, Mr. And Mrs. Norman Weimer of Prittstown. His body will arrive at the Grimm Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday morning where friends will be received and from where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by Rev. Harper M. Snavely, pastor of the Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren. Internment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with full military rites. (Note in ink on the obit says Dec 4, 1952.)
