Connellsville Courier Thursday May 22, 1919 ANTHONY SOURD OBIT Anthony Sourd, 93 years, 10 months and 25 days old, a resident of this community for many years, died Wednesday morning at the home of his son, George Sourd, near Moyer, of an illness due to the infirmities of old age. Mr. Sourd was born in Alsace, France, and when a young man came to this country with the late Joseph Soisson, settling in Connellsville. For many years he was foreman of the Soisson brick yard at Moyer. For the past 25 years, he has lived retired. Mrs. Sourd died April 9, 880. Mr. Sourd was widely known in and about Connellsville. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception church. The following children survive: George, near Moyer; Charles, Pittsburgh; Mrs. George A. Wagner, San Diego, Cal., and Mrs. W. E. Keller, Pittsburgh. Five grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be from the residence of George Sourd Saturday morning at 8:30 o\clock and at 9 o'clock from the Immaculate Conception church. Requiem high mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
