Mrs Elizabeth Spaugy, 66, of Wooddale, died at the home of her son-in-law and 
daughter, Mr and Mrs Frank Moore, at Crossroads, near Prittstown, at 7:45 
o'clock Wednesday evening. She was born near Ore Mines October 3, 1884, a 
daughter of Mrs Martha Stouffer Miller and the late Jacob Miller. She lived in 
the Wooddale community all her life and was a member of the Church of the 
Brethern. Surviving are her husband, William S.Spaugy;her mother; four 
sons,Stanton at home, Paul and Reid of Wooddale and Samuel of East 
Connellsville; five daughters, Mrs Ruth Lankey of Acme, Mrs Irene Detling of 
Scottdale, Mrs Sarah Martin and Mrs Louise Moore of Wooddale. and Mrs Ella 
Moore of Walnut Hill; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, William Miller of Mt 
Pleasant and Charles Miller of New York City, and three sisters, Mrs Sadie 
Kuhns ofUniontown, Mrs Lottie Brooks of Grindstone and Mrs Anna Keenan of 
Baltimore,Md. A son preceded her in death. The body will be taken to the home 
at noon Friday. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Brooks funeral 
service at Indian Head.
