TOMPKINS, LUVENIA    Mrs. Luvenia Tompkins, 63 years old, widow of Rev. R. A.
Tompkins, a former 
resident of Connellsville, died Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in Pittsburg following
a lingering illness.  She 
was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Jane Watts and is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Willie Lewis of 
Pittsburg, with whom she resided; three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary
Watts, Pittsburg, a 
brother, James E. Watts of Connellsville, and other relatives.  She had a number of
friends here.
  A service will be held Thursday evening at 8 o'clock at the Davis Funeral Home,
Pittsburg, followed by a 
full service Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Payne A. M. E. Church.  Rev. H. D.
Lowber, pastor, assisted by 
Rev. R. D. Epps, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will
be in Hill Grove Cemetery.
