I have changed the format to fit it onto 1 page. TOWNSEND, BESSIE (LYONS) Age 64 years of High House St., Smithfield, died Monday, August 11, 1975 at 6:30 p.m. at her home. She was born in Lake Lynn, Pa. on June 14, 1911 the daughter, of the late Emmett and Martha Spiker Lyons. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ, the Smithfield Rebekah Lodge No. 309, the York Run Grange and the Smithfield Golden Agers. She was an employee of Moser's Super Market in Smithfield for eighteen years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Townsend on December 20, 1965 and a brother Clarence. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Betty) Taylor of Barberton, Ohio; a granddaughter, Jane and a grandson, Jack; five sisters, Mrs. James (Marg) Sethfman of Centerville, Pa., Mrs. Homer (Kathryn) Christopher of Point Marion, Mrs. Chester (Rose) Haught of Lake Lynn, Mrs. Henry (Peggy) Jenkins of Richeyville, Mrs. Clyde (Dot) Shaffer of Smithfield; two brothers, Bernard (Cotton) Lyons of Pt. Marion adn Morgan (Buck) Lyons of Philippi, W. Va. The family will receive friends in the John F. Brownfield Funeral Home, Smithfield today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 2 p.m. the hour of service. Evangelist Richard Geringswald will officiate. Interment in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Oak Grove Church of Christ. Ritualistic services will be held by the Lady Gallatin Rebekah Lodge Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and by York Run Grange Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.
