This obituary came from an unknown paper. It was cut out and 
put into a scrapbook by its original owner.  It was later 
photocopied and given to me in 2002.

WILLIAM GILLELAND

    William Gilleland, aged 78, years. died at his home near 
Smock Saturday afternoon, December 29, at 3:35 o'clock after 
a lingering illness.  He is survived by his widow, two sons 
and one daughter.  John and Mary at home and Martin Gilleland 
of Smock.  Several brothers and sisters also survive.
    Funeral services will be held in the home Tuesday afternoon 
at 2 o'clock with the Rev. M. P. Steele officiating.  
Burial will be in the Pleasant View cemetery.
