They had two more sons and two more daughters born in Black Hawk County, IA. Jesse was the son of Daniel Beal and Mary Lichty. Caroline the daughter of William Miller and Mary Walker of Somerset County. Daniel and Mary had ten children, five survived to maturity and had families: Rachel Beal b. 1834 married a cousin, Hiram Beal (lived in Somerset County) Jesse Lichty Beal b. 1836 married 1st Caroline Miller md 2nd Harriet Kelso (moved to Black Hawk County, IA) William Lichty Beal b. 1839 married Sarah Miller (lived in Saltlick Twp.) Sarah Ann Beal b. 1841 married 1st Jacob R. Berg md 2nd Peter Martin (lived in Connellsville) John Lichty Beal b. 1847 married Lydia Smith (moved to Westmoreland County) Additional Comments: I would like to find the burial places for Daniel and Mary Beal. They died between the 1860 and 1870 census. I know from obituaries that Jacob R. Berg is buried in Hopewell Cemetery. I wonder if his widow, Sarah Beal Martin is buried there as well? William L. Beal is buried in Mount Nebo Cemetery and his wife is in Hopewell Cemetery. I would love photo's of these tombstones if possible.
