WILLIAM D. GREEN DEAD AT AGE OF 85; WAS B. & O. EMPLOYE William D. Green, 85 years old, died this morning at the home of a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Green, in Bullskin township. Born at Texas, Md., on September 5, 1849, he spent his early life mostly in the marble quarries near there. He was married to Mary A. Earnshaw in 1872. His wife died December 7, 1926. Coming to Connellsville he was employed at the old Bluestone quarry and later was a car inspector for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company. For 30 years he had been a resident of Bullskin township. In addition to his son, John, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. S. M. Hebb of South Pittsburgh street, a brother, Fred P. Green of Pittsburgh, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The grandchildren are Mrs. Gladys Evans of East Murphy avenue, Misses Florence and Mary Hebb of Pittsburgh, George Hebb of this city, Jane Alby Green, John A., Jr., James Oliver and Eugene W.
