Newlyweds Will Be Honored At Thanksgiving Dinner In Home Of Bride's Parents: At a ceremony marked by quiet simplicity on Friday evening, November 21, 1947, in the Asbury Methodist church, Thelma M. McKittrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.R. McKittrick of Mt. Braddock, became the bride of Arthur R. Dolan, son of Mrs. Hazel Dolan, of Connellsville. Dr. William L. Hogg, church pastor, officiated at the double ring service at 7 o'clock. For her mid-autumn wedding the bride chose a brown dress with blue trim, styled along princess lines, with brown accessories and wore a corsage of gardenias and red rosebuds. Her cousin's maid of honor and only attendant, Jean Jobes of Mt. Braddock, wore an aqua dress with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow rosebuds. Lawrence Harvey of Dunbar, served as best man. The bride was graduated from North Union high school in 1945, and is employed at the local J.C.Penney company store. Mr. Dolan, who attended Dunbar Township high school, served three years with the Army Engineers, including service in the ETO and the Pacific. He is employed at the local American store. The newlyweds will make their home with the bride's parents. They will be honored at a family dinner on Thanksgiving at the McKittrick home.
