Doyle S. Helsley Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Jean D. Evans daughter of Mrs. Gladys Evans of Cleveland Ohio and the late D. O. Evans formerly of Connellsville and Private First Class Doyle S. Helsley son of Mr. and Mrs. Helsley of Berkeley Springs, W. Va. The wedding took place Tuesday evening, April 27, in Fort Logan Army chapel at Denver, Col. with Lieutenant J. M. Nelson, chaplain, reading the service at 6:30 o'clock. There were no attendants. The attractive bride wore a powder blue wool suit, a white silk blouse and small powder blue flowered hat. A corsage of gardenias completed her ensemble. The bride attended the Connellsille High School and has a number of friends here. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. Jesse Whaley of East Murphy avenue and S. M. Hebb of South Pittsburg street. The bridegroom was graduated from West Virginia University at Morgantown, W. Va., a member of the Class of 1942, and enlisted in the Air Corps last June. He is stationed at Fort Logan.
