Pfeifer of Allegheny and John Donald Porter of Connellsville. The ceremony was performed in the spacious parlors of the Pfeifer home on North avenue, Allegheny, Rev. E. L. Eaton of the North Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church officiating. The hour was 6 o'clock. The affair was quite a large one, over 300 guests being present. The decorations were most ornate. In the drawing room a dais was erected of palms and ferns, with a large Cupid design in pink and white flowers. White roses and peonies covered the mantels and curtains of ? and white ribbons were hung in the doorways. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Anna Pfeifer, and the best man was John J. Singer of Connellsville. The ushers were William Nelson and Charles Barndollar of Pittsburg, Ralph Porter of Connellsville and William J. Mackintosh of Washington, D. C. The bride wore a magnificent creation of white duchesse satin, with flounces and bodice decorations of embroidered chiffon. A long veil was fastened with orange blossoms, and a shower of white roses and sweet peas was carried. The maid of honor was in white mousseline with pink roses. After a supper, served in the dining room and in the upper rooms of the house, which were beautifully decorated in green and white the young couple left for an extended wedding trip. They will live at the Yough House, Connellsville, for a time before going to housekeeping, at home cards announcing August 10th. Among the out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. John R. Porter, Miss Mae Porter, Harry L. Kurtz, Fenton T. Evans, ?. T. Norton, Alexander Hood and John W. Marshall of Connellsville; Mrs. B. J. Haywood and Miss Bardella Powell of Mercer; Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Mercer of Philadelphia; Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Powell, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Powell of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. O. Luckey of Sharon.
