WILL OF NICHOLAS FAST In the name of God Amen, I Nicholas Fast of German Township, Fayette County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, yeoman being weak of body but of a sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the sayee do make, ordain and establish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows viz: First I given and bequeath unto the three children of Mary Wibel deceased wife formerly of Frederick Wibel, one hundred acres of land situated in Jefferson County - State of Ohio being of part of a half section of land conveyed by my son, Francis Fast to me on the sixth day of March 1807 being No. 23 in the Eleventh Township and of fourth range said hundred acres of land be laid off. The west end of said half section said three children to have equal shares of said hundred acres of land. Second, I do leave and bequeath to Henry Weaver, Frederick Wibel and John Sears each of them fifty cents and as for all the rest residue and remainder off my estate both real and personal it is my will that it should be all sold and the neat (sic) proceeds thereof be equally divided into seven parts or shares and given as follows viz: one seventh part to my son Jacob Fast, one seventh part to my son Francis Fast, one seventh part to my son Adam Fast, one seventh part to my daughter Barbara Aultman, on seventh part to my daughter Katy Bowman and the other seventh part to the children of my daughter Catherine Weaver, deceased, being eight in number viz. Nicholas Weaver, John Weaver, Henry Weaver, Barbra Weaver, Mahdlana? Weaver, Elizabeth Weaver and Mary Weaver each to have equal shares of sd. seventh part but - whereas Mary Weaver was married to Frederick Wibel as above mentioned and is now deceased but left three children as above, namely Mary Wibel, Nicholas Wibel and Elizabeth Wibel. Said Mary Weaver share is to be equally divided between her said three children and whereas the above named Mahdlana? Weaver was married to John Sears and is now deceased but left seven children said Mahdlana's? share is to be equally divided amongst her seven children. And I do hereby and power Authorize my two Executors to sell all my Estate real and personal giving a reasonable credit and to give good and sufficient deeds to the purchasers for the same. I do give four years, to my Executors to sell collect and pay over but they must account with the heirs for all the interest that they may receive. And I do hereby appoint, constitute and make my two sons Francis Fast and Christian? Fast sole executors of this my last Will and Testament here by revoking all former wills by me made. Ratifying and confirming this to be my last Will and Testament and no other - by witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixteen. On 10th day of June, Anno Domini 1818 before me the subscriber Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said County personally came John Auld and James Sangston two of the signing witnesses to the foregoing last Will and Testament and on their _________ attestations did declare that the Testator acknowledged the same to be his last Will and testament in their presence when of disposing mind and memory that they signed the same as witnesses thereto in his presence and that they knew of no later will by him made. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and the seal of said office the same day. WILL OF FRANCIS FAST In the Name of God Amen, I, Francis Fast of German Township in the County of Fayette being weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding blessed be to God for the same but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following to wit. Principally and first of all I command my immortal soul unto the hands of God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as to such worldly estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me in this life. I give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit. It is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease. Item. I give and bequeath unto my ________ daughter Pheby Lawrence one bed and bedding to be valued at twenty dollars, my wife's saddle, one bow, one spinning wheel, and two hundred dollars. Item. I do order and direct my Executors hereinafter named to sell my land of every description for the best price that they can get for the same together with my personal estates or property of every kind and to collect all moneys due or to become due and my desire is and I do will that all my Estate be divided in equal portions amongst my children to wit. Joseph Fast, Nicholas Fast, George Fast, Francis Fast, Jesse Fast, Catharine Elizabeth Fast, Mary Nose?, Madelina Fast, Hannah Fast, Sarah Hager, Martha Riffle, Rebecka Fast, and Rosannah Fast to be enjoyed by them share and share alike. Item. It is my will that my Executors retain in their hands one hundred and seventy-five dollars of Sarah Hagers share to be paid to her as she may want it. And if not called for in her lifetime then at her decease to be equally divided __________ her children. It is also my will that my children, who have received in advance and have give me their receipts do account to my Executors for the amount so receipted for. Also that my children now with me - have as I have promised then all they have made of may hereinafter make in my house, for theirselves. Also that my children may take any beds and bedding or kitchen or other furniture at the appraisement of my ___________. Item. If my ________ daughter Pheby Lawrence should die before she has children living then I will her portion herein willed unto my children aforesaid equally. Item. I do will and order my Executors to make deeds or titles to any lands I have sold on the conditions being complied within also to make good titles or deeds for the land sold by my Executors for their receiving full payment. And lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my son Francis Fast, Jacob Tarr? and my son-in-law Joseph Riffle to be the Executors of this my last will hereby revoking all other wills or legacies declaring this and no other to be my last will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 19th day of September A.D. 1827. Francis Fast Signed, sealed, published and pronounced in presence of Christian B_______ James Wilson I Francis Fast of German Township in the County of Fayette, Pennsylvania do make this codicil to be kept as part of my last will and Testament in manner following that is to say that whereas by the foregoing will I order and direct my Executors therein mentioned to sell all my land of every description I do hereby order and direct that my home place including my dwelling house shall be appraised by five disinterested freeholders at its full value and after such valuization and appraisement it is my will that my son Nicholas Fast, my daughter Madelina Fast, my daughter Hannah Fast, my daughter Rebecka Fast and my daughter Rosannah Fast shall have the privilege if they choose to take the said home place at valuation or appraisement so made. And my will is that they hold the said plantation share and share alike. Item. I do now allow my Executors to have five years to sell my other land and collect the price or payment thereof but any money that may come into the hands of my said Executors I order to be divided among my children agreeably to go with my will. It is my will that all my kitchen furniture after being appraised be equally divided amongst my daughters Madelina, Hannah, Rebecka, Rosannah and my _______ daughter Pheby Lawrence and that they and each of them account for what the take in part of their share. Also, I will that my daughters Madelina, Hannah, Rebecka and Rosannah each of them take one bed at the appraisement if they choose and to account for the same. And I order and direct that the part or portion that my be coming out of my estate unto my daughter Mary Nose? be kept and remain in the hands of my Executors and to be paid wit as the said Mary Nose? may call for it. However, if the said Mary gives my Executors notice they may loan out such of her money as may be in their hands or interest on good security for any time not exceeding one year at any one time and lastly it is my desire that this my present codicil be annexed to and made part of my last will and Testament to all intents and purposes. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 7th day of July A.D. 1831. Francis Fast Signed, Sealed, and pronounced in presence of James Wilson Robert Hannah Fayette County SS: The 16th day of December Anno Domini 1831 personally came before me the subscribers to the within will and codicil and being duly qualified did declare that Francis Fast signed the foregoing as and for his will in their presence respectively when in his right mind and they knew of no later or other will made by him. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of the Registers Office for the county of Fayette the same day Alexander McCleary Register Memo - Letters in common form were granted same day inventory to be exhibited and settlement as usual.
