WILL OF ANN GRAY I, Ann Gray, widow, of South Union Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, do make, publish and declare the following to be my last will and testament. First. I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and discharged as soon as may be after my decease. Second. I give and bequeath to my great-granddaughter, Ruth Ann Hardy, daughter of Jennie M. and Gipson R. Hardy, all of my silverware. Third. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mary Frances, intermarried with Frank P. Emory, one cow provided I shall possess one at the time of my decease. Fourth. I give and bequeath unto my said daughter, Mary Frances Emory, and unto my granddaughter, Jennie M. Hardy, intermarried with Gipson R. Hardy, such articles of my furniture, books, pictures, linen, china, wearing apparel, jewelry, fruit, provisions and other household goods of which I may die possessed, as they may choose to select for their own use, to be theirs absolutely. In case they should both desire the same article and cannot agree as to which shall possess the same, then said article is to be sold as hereinafter provided in the case of the residue of my estate. Fifth. I order and direct my Executors hereinafter named to collect all moneys that may be due me from securities or any other source whatsoever; and also to sell and convert into cash, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease, all the rest and residue of my estate, real personal or mixed, of whatsoever nature and wheresoever situate, including my horse and buggy and all articles not selected and retained by the aforesaid Mary Frances Emory and Jennie M. Hardy, and for that purpose, I hereby authorize and empower my Executors hereinafter named, and the survivor of them, to sell and dispose of all of said residue of personal estate and of all of my real estate, consisting of my farm of about eighty-five acres of land situate in North and South Union Townships, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, on which I now reside and which was conveyed to me by my father, Greenberry Crossland Sr., by deed dated June 15, 1888, and recorded in the Recorder's Office of Fayette County, Pa., in Deed Book Vol. 151, page 46; as well as any and all other real estate of which I may be seized or possessed at the time of my decease; at public or private sale, for such price or prices, and upon such terms and conditions as to them may seem best, and to grant and convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers thereof, free from all liability for or on account of the application of the purchase money. Sixth: I further order and direct my executors hereinafter named to divide the proceeds of such sales and collections, after payment therefrom of any and all debts and liabilities of my estate, into five equal shares, one of which shares, I direct my said Executors to pay to my daughter, Mary Frances, intermarried with Frank P. Emory; one other thereof to my granddaughter, Jennie M., intermarried with Gipson R. Hardy, she representing her mother, my daughter, Sarah J. Farr, now deceased, one other thereof to my son Greenberry C. Gray; one other thereof to my son Franklin W. Gray; and the remaining share to my son Jonathan S. Gray. In case any of the above mentioned heirs or distributees shall die before me, leaving lawful issue, such issue shall take said distributees share; but in case any one of them should die before me, without leaving such lawful issue, then the share of such shall be divided among the surviving heirs or distributees before mentioned, share and share alike. Lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint my said sons, Greenberry C. Gray and Franklin W. Gray to be my executors of this my last will and testament. In case either should die before this will becomes operative, or before my estate shall have been fully settled, then the survivor is to be his substitute or successor.
