The following is the will of Robert HANNA, Sr. written by him on March 15, 1830, witnessed by Reuben SUTTON and Ethelbert M. SUTTON. The papers were filed on April 21, 1837 after Robert HANNA's death. Will of Robert HANNA In the name of God amen, I Robert Hanna, being in a bad state of health, but of usual sound mind memory and understanding do make and execute this as my last will and Testament of all my property both real and personal with which it has pleased God to bless me in this world which I will to dispose of and given in the manner following (to wit) Imprimis I will that all my real estate consisting of my farm adjoining the lands of Jacob First and others) and all my personal property be sold at public sales and after all my Just debts are paid out of the money arising from the aforesaid sale, I will and bequeath unto my sons Joseph Hanna, Robert Hanna and Jesse Hanna the sum of one dollar each besides that given them heretofore, and all the residue of moneys made by the said sale of my estate, I will to be divided in five equal parts, and I give and bequeath unto my son Ephraim Hanna one fifth part of my daughter Elizabeth Hammers one fifth part to my daughter Sarah Williams one fifth part to my daughter Rebeccah Williams one fifth part to my three Grand Children the heirs and representatives of Samuel Hannah Decd one fifth part to be equally divided between them namely Robert Henry & Maria share and share alike. I do hereby Constitute nominate and appoint my son Robert Hanna Jr. and Jesse Hanna my Executors of this my last will and Testament. And I do hereby revoke, recind and disannul every other Instrument purporting to be my will, and do hereby ratify and confirm this as my only last will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, this fifteenth day of March, in the year ano Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty Signed sealed and delivered in presence of us who are in the presence of each other. Sutton Robert Hanna {seal} Fayette County s.s. {seal} Be it remembered that on the twenty first day of April A.D. 1837 personally appeared before me Robert Barton Register for the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for said County Reuben Sutton and Ethelbert M. Sutton Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing testament and last will of Robert Hanna of George Township Fayette County deceased, and on their solemn affirmation did respectfully declare that they saw the testator sign seal, and heard him acknowledge the same to be his last will and testament when of sound mind that they know of no undue influence used or later will made by said deceased to their knowledge or belief, and that they subscribed their names as witness thereto in his presence and in the presence of each other.
