Will of URIAH NEWCOMER, Book 2, p. 469 1849 The last will and Testament of Uriah Newcomer of Tyrone Township in the County of Fayette and State of Pennsylvania. I Uriah Newcomer considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind memory and understanding (blessed by Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Frances Newcomer and to my two sons John Newcomer and Abraham Newcomer the use and enjoyment of all my property real and personal until my youngest child shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, they the said Frances, John and Abraham to provide (out of the proceeds of said property) for the comfortable support of all my younger children, giving to each and every one of them a good common English Education, and when the youngest shall have arrived at the age of twenty one years as aforesaid, then my personal property or such part as may remain thereof to be appraised and one third part thereof to be given to my wife Frances Newcomer and the residue sold and the proceeds equally divided among my children, share and share alike, and my real estate to be appraised and offered at the appraised value to my eldest son, Henry Newcomer if he acccepts, if not then to my next oldest son who may be then living and if he will not accept, then to the next eldest and so on to the youngest son and if neither will accept, then the said Real estate shall be sold at publick outcry to the highest and best bidder and the proceeds divided as follows, one third part thereof to be paid to my beloved wife Frances Newcomer if then living, and the residue or remaining two thirds to be equally divided among my children, Henry, John, Abraham, Eliza, Nancy, Benjamin, Daniel and Joseph or their descendants. And I do hereby appoint constitute and ordain William Washington Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
