I Benjamin Phillips of Springhill Township Fiatt County and State of Pensylvania being sick and weary of Body but of sound mind memory and understanding praised be God for it and Considering the Certainty deth and the uncertainty of the time hearof and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world whever it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and declare this my last will and Testament in maner following‹ that is to say first and principally I commend my Soul unto the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping for pardon and Remissionof all my Sins and to enjoy everlasting happiness in the heavenly Kingdom through Jesus Christ my Saviour my body I Commit to the earth at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and my will is that all my just debts shall first be paid‹ I give and bequeath unto my Beloved wife Betsy sixty two acres & half of land more or less lying in Springhill Township Fiatt County, Pennsylvania whereon I now live her natural lifetime and after her deth I do will to the Child that my wife Betsy is like for let it Be male or female but if the child shall not live the land shall be to my other heirs, also I will to my wife all my horses and Cattel and sheep and hogs and household an kitchen furniture. I will and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Miller the undivided half of eighty five acres of land in Georges Township Be the ___ more or less and the other half to my Grand daughter Luiza Kuhn that is if the said Margaret Miller and the said Luiza Kihn will pay unto my Daughter Leah fitchgerls the sum of two hundred and twenty six Dolars within five years after my decease. but if the said Margaret Miller and Luiza Kuhn ­old to Choice __ Leah fitzchyerls her third part, it shall be at there Choise to do so and if tha keep tha land tha shall pay a Eaqual part of the mony to the said Leah fitzhyerls. Before me the subscriber Register for the probate of wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said County personally came Isaac Phillips and Henry Oneal the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and Testament and on their solemn oaths did respectively declare that they saw the Testator sign the same when of sound mind that they signed their names as witnesses thereto in his presence and that no undue influence had been used or later will made by the said deceased to their knowledge or belief‹ In Testimony whereof I have set my hand and seal of said office the same day‹ Alexander McClean Register
