WILL OF ARCHIBALD SCOTT I, Archibald Scott of Luzerne Township, formerly of Nicholson Township, Fayette County and State of Pennsylvania, considering the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, and being now of sound and disposing mind and memory, for which _________, thanks be to Almighty God. And being desirous to arrange my ___________ affairs, whilest in health of body and strength of mind so to do. I do thatof declare, publish and make known this as my last Will and Testament hereby rendering null and void any other will of a prior date, in manner and form as follows, to wit namely. 1st. It is my earnest desire that any just debts and funeral expenses, should be paid, and I direct my Executors herein-after named, as soon after my decease as practicable to pay said debts and funeral expenses and erect suitable tombstones at my grave out of any money that may be on hand payable to me at my death. 2nd. Unto my wife Ann Scott, I will and bequeath the one third of the annual interest of all my estate after the payment of my debts. Funeral expenses provided for in item 1st of this my last will. The interest to be paid her during her natural life, and in the manner that I shall hereafter direct. 3rd. I will and bequeath to my grandson, Archibald Richey, one hundred dollars of my estate by him the said Archibald Richey paying annually six percent interest on said sum to his grandmother Ann Scott during her lifetime. 4th. Unto my grandson, James Rankin Richey, I give and bequeath one hundred dollars, he the said James Richey paying interest therein annually to his grandmother, Ann Scott during her natural life at the rate of six percent per annum. 5th. I will and bequeath unto my granddaughter, Margaret Richey, one feather Bed and the _______ thereto belonging. 6th. Unto my daughter, Margaret Longanecker, I will and bequeath, one large Family Bible and one copy of the Westminister Confession of Faith of the Presbyterian Church. 7th. And unto my daughter Eleanor Richey, I will and bequeath the residue and remainder of my property, of what ever kind or quality to have the use there of during her natural life (by her the said, Eleanor Richey, paying ever annually the interest of one third of said residue and remainder to her mother during her natural life. 8th. After the decease of my wife, Ann Scott, and my daughter Eleanor Richey, I direct said above mentioned residue and remainder to be equally divided among said Eleanor Richey's children (except Archibald and James Rankin Richey to whom I have herein given). I intend them to have out of my estate share and share alike. And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint, James Cunningham, my Executor of this my last Will and Testament to execute and carry out the true intent and meaning thereof. In witness whereof I have hereunto, let my hand and afixed this my seal this 22nd day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty.
