The 3rd of January anno Domini 1831 before me, Alexander McClean, Register for the Probate of wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said County personally came Hugh Torrance the first subscribing witness to the foregoing writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of John Snyder and on his solemn oath did declare that the deceased when of perfect Health and disposing mind came to his house bringing with him the paper on which this is now written and acknowledged the same to be his last will and Testament in the presence of the deponant and his son James Torrence. That no undue influence had been used or later will made by the said deceased to his knowledge or belief at the same time came Jacob Newmeier and on his affirmation has frequently seen his writing and verily believes the signature on said will to be the handwriting of the deceased. In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal of the Registers Office the same day. /s/ Alexander McClean, Register Registered 3rd January 1831
