Will of Levi Stephens Jr. Born 1790

  I Levi Stephens of Washington Township Fayette County and State of Pennsylvania
calling to mind that it is appointed to all men once to die, do make and publish
this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by
me at any time heretofore make.  And as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased a
bountiful Providence to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows.  First, I
direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as convenient out
of the first monies that shall come into the hands of my Executors from any portion
of my estate real or personel.
  I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Stephens if she survive me all my
estate real and personal during her natural life.  And at her decease or as soon
thereafter as may be convenient, I order and direct all my real estate to be sold by
my executors and the proceeds thereof to be equally divided amongst my six children
namely - Jehu Stephens, Israel Stephens, Johnson Stephens, James Stephens, Rachel
Stephens, (wife of Lee Stephens) and Mary Stephens, (wife of Ezra W. Stephens) share
and share alike.  I give and devise to my three grandchildren namely Thomas Stephens,
Griffith W. Stephens and Ela Stephens children of my deceased son Aaron B. Stephens
by his first marriage the sum of Five Hundred dollars each to be paid to them by my
Executors when they shall severally arrive at the age of twenty one years.  I give
and devise to my two grandchildren Levi Stephens and Joseph Stephens children of the
said Aaron B. Stephens by his second marriage, the sum of two hundred and fifty
dollars each to be paid to them when they have severally arrived at the age of
twenty one years.  Should the one seventh of the proceeds of my real estate exceed
or fall below the aggregate amount herein devised to the above named five
grandchildren the division shall be made in the proportion indicated above that is
two parts each to Thomas, Griffith and Ella and one part each to Levi and Joseph. 
Whatever personal property may remain after, into seven parts equally divided
amongst the five children of the said Aaron B. Stephens Deceased.  And lastly I do
hereby make constitute and appoint my two sons Jehu and Israel Stephens Executors of
this my last Will and Testament.  In witness whereof I, Levi Stephens, the testator
have to this my will written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this
Nineteenth day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and
Seventy three.  Signed and sealed in the presence of us who have subscribed in the
presence of each other.
